Guide to setting your GMT watch

There Concordia GMT Charlie Paris is an automatic watch designed for adventurers and travelers, combining robustness, precision, and elegance. Equipped with a Swiss Soprod C125 movement or Seiko NH34 (version 2026), it offers a 40-hour power reserve and water resistance up to 300 meters.

1. Manual reassembly

  • Unscrewing the crown : Before making any adjustments, unscrew the crown by turning it counterclockwise until it comes loose.
  • Reassembly : In position 1 (crown only unscrewed), turn the crown upwards (clockwise) to manually wind the movement and ensure optimal power reserve.

This operation is particularly useful if the watch It has not been worn for some time. A red indicator on the crown stem confirms that it is correctly unscrewed.

2. Setting the local time

  • Access to position 3 : Gently pull the crown out to position 3. You will know you are in position 3 when the seconds hand stops, allowing you to set the time accurately.
  • Time adjustment : Turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the desired local time.

Make sure to position the hour hand on the correct side of the dial (morning or afternoon) according to the current time.

3. Setting the date and the GMT hand

  • Access to position 2 : Push the crown inwards one notch to reach position 2.
  • Date setting : Turn the crown downwards (counterclockwise) to adjust the date. It is recommended not to set the date between 8 PM and 4 AM, as the date-changing mechanism may be in operation, which could damage the movement.
  • GMT needle setting : Next, turn the crown upwards (clockwise) to position the GMT hand (a different coloured hand) on the second desired time zone.

The GMT hand completes a full rotation in 24 hours, thus indicating the time on a 24-hour scale, unlike the standard hour hand which completes two 12-hour revolutions per day.

4. Crown repositioning

  • Return to position 0 : Once all the adjustments have been made, push the crown back to position 0.
  • Screwing the crown : It is essential to screw the crown back on firmly by turning it clockwise while applying slight pressure. This precaution guarantees a watertight seal of the watch and prevents any infiltration of water or dust.

By carefully following these steps, your Concordia GMT will be perfectly synchronized, ready to accompany you with precision and elegance through the different time zones of your travels.
